Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
PDFQuokka is built around a simple idea: the most private way to handle your files is to never send them anywhere. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Your files are never uploaded
Every PDFQuokka tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you merge, convert or compress a file, the work happens on your own device. Your documents and images are never transmitted to, stored on, or seen by our servers or anyone else. When you close or reload the page, they're gone from memory.
What we don't collect
We don't require an account, and we don't ask for your name or email to use the tools. We never collect the contents, names or metadata of the files you process.
Basic, privacy-respecting analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and understand which tools are useful (for example, page views and general country). This data is aggregated and is never linked to your files or to you personally.
Cookies and advertising
The tools themselves work without advertising cookies. If advertising is introduced in future, any ad providers will operate under their own policies and will never have access to the contents of your files. This section will be updated with specifics if and when ads are introduced.
Third-party libraries
Some tools load an open-source library (such as pdf-lib) from a content delivery network so the conversion can run in your browser. Loading a script may expose your IP address to that CDN, as with any website resource, but your files are not sent with it.
